Fred graduated from Yale University cum laude with departmental High Honors in English. He has worked in business as a Communications Director, writing catalogs, new product reports, and press releases.
Fred currently teaches courses in the Social Science Department of Central Texas College's Distance Learning Program, providing deployed U.S. military personnel with extensive tutoring in grammar and writing as they pursue their college degrees. Fred also works as an interfaith college chaplain, and gives workshops in poetry as meditation. Fred lives in the Seattle area with his wife Anna and golden poodle, Willy.
